Seeking Case Studies for Upcoming HIMSS Privacy Book

HIMSS

An upcoming HIMSS book that explores key issues surrounding privacy is seeking case studies for potential inclusion. Topics of interest include: Current trends in the secondary uses of personal health information (i.e., data analytics, research, and marketing); privacy risks and recommendations surrounding personal health records; the challenges of conveying transparency policies to patients on how information is collected, used and shared; the challenges of privacy within health information exchanges; existing current issues and policies surrounding patient access to their information and requests to correct inaccurate information; and the importance of vendor management in privacy. Case studies must be based on sound research and previously unpublished. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words long and must include a working title and complete contact information for all authors. Abstracts are due no later than Friday, June 15. Send your abstract in a Word document to Matt Schlossberg, Manager, HIMSS Publications, via the e-mail link above.
