The National Science Foundation is supporting development of an entry level HIMSS health IT certification—CSHIMS. This session on July 13 will preview the new credential, and provide an overview of its place in industry, as well as identify who can benefit from obtaining the credential; clarify HIMSS benefits to those entering the field, and employers; and outline CSHIMS preparation and implementation steps. This program is approved for up to 1.0 continuing education (CE) hours for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS).
