ANT+, Continua Alliance, Ideal Life, Life Technologies, Scientific American and UnitedHealth Group have joined The Digital Health Summit at the 2012 International CES as platinum sponsors and AARP, Alcatel-Lucent and Tanita as major sponsors. They join the more than twenty-five sponsors and media partners that have pledged their support of the summit, which will bring together more than 500 senior health and technology executives to examine the fast-growing digital health industry.

Now in its third year, The Digital Health Summit at CES will keep attendees apprised of the continued trajectory of this burgeoning market. Based on the wildly successful 2011 Digital Health Summit, which saw an increase in attendance of more than 300% from the year prior, this year’s event will take a look at the technologies that will change the way consumers and providers manage health for themselves, loved ones and patients during an extended two-day event on January 11-12, 2012 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, LVCC North Hall.

“With last year’s summit attendance exceeding our expectations by an incredible three hundred percent, we know participants in both the technology and health worlds are not just interested in the technologies changing the face of digital health, but are also hungry for information about the market and its future,” said Jill Gilbert, Co-producer of The Digital Health Summit. “The event’s expansion to two days, the support of well known tech players, and the participation of top healthcare leaders not only proves digital health is continuing to grow at an incredible pace, but already revolutionizing health care management and delivery in exciting ways.”

The Digital Health Summit at CES 2012 has brought together an impressive line-up of speakers to discuss the digital health spectrum. Speakers participating in this year’s agenda include:

• Jason Goldberg, Founder and President, Ideal Life
• Joseph C. Kvedar, MD, Founder and Director of the Center for Connected Health
• Greg T. Lucier, Chairman and CEO, Life Technologies
• Robert McCray, President and CEO, Wireless-Life Sciences Alliance
• Richard Migliori, M.D., Executive Vice President, Health Services, UnitedHealth Group
• Chuck Parker, Executive Director, Continua Alliance
• Reed V. Tuckson, MD, FACP, Executive Vice President and Chief of Medical Affairs, UnitedHealth Group

As new technologies work to improve health outcomes and change the way providers and consumers manage patient and self-care, they are also becoming important players in the health management equation, providing business opportunities for a new stable of players, including developers, manufacturers, distributors and service providers.

The Digital Health Summit exhibit hall (open January 10-13, 2012) will compliment the two-day event and showcase companies, including providers, developers, manufacturers, buyers, distributors, service providers, academicians, and more making incredible advancements in the field.
