The Sant Joan Hospital Automates Its Appointment Service

The Sant Joan de Reus Hospital has incorporated the Qmatic solution in order to automate its scheduling and appointment service. The solution is designed to guide patients and manage queues.

After its implementation, patients going to the hospital will be able to electronically check when and how to attend their appointment. To do so they will have to introduce their health cards or a ‘pre-appointment’ document into a bar code reader which will then issue a printed ticket with the necessary information.

The system will then register the health card, confirm attendance and provide notification that the patient has arrived at the healthcare establishment.

Once users arrive at the indicated sector, the queue manager at the reception desk will direct and organize turns. In this case, the system will issue every patient with a numbered turn ticket so they know when they will be attended.
