Description of the Role: The successful candidate will provide expertise in the planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance, and evaluation of new or existing functionality related to clinical and business information systems. This position is critical to the success of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.
Some of the knowledge necessary includes: Knowledge of healthcare-related software applications. Experience in project management as it relates to Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications, Patient Access, Patient Care, and Clinical Reporting.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or Business Administration or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience, with four years experience in healthcare informatics.
Related Professions: Nursing, Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy, EHR system designer and/or builder.
