Job description
Cook Endoscopy was established to provide innovative products for gastrointestinal endoscopy. By working closely with prominent gastroenterologists, Cook Endoscopy has become a worldwide leader in the design, development and manufacture of devices used in gastrointestinal endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and surgery, in the treatment of esophageal, stomach, pancreatic, liver and colon disorders. Key product lines include but are not limited to sphincterotomes, wire guides, biliary stents, forceps, needles, cytology brushes, multi-band ligators, Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy systems (PEGs) and polypectomy snares.
The Field Product Specialist (FPS) reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager at their assigned Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The FPS is responsible for providing support to the SMM and the marketing department and will also work closely with the Product Manager, Regional Managers, Training Managers, and Local or Product Specialists.
  • Requires a minimum of 60% of time spent travelling on business.
  • Training of Customers and Employees for Key Products.
  • Supports and assists in the creation of training materials.
  • Supports new product launches and presentations.
  • Supports relevant clinical activities, test programs and seeding research.
  • Identifies Customer opportunities for Key Products.
  • Supports New Product prototype testing.
  • Supports and performs field and market analysis.
  • Supports Regional Managers, Trains Managers, Product Managers and District Managers.
  • Interacts with product Development Engineers regarding the development and evaluation of devices.
  • Complies with travel and subsistence rules and submits expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Understands and follows company quality policies and procedures with regard to complaints.
  • Handles Product Returns, Samples, Consignment Stock and any other areas as appropriate.
  • Complies with all company policies, its Code of Conduct, HIPAA regulations and Cook Field Guide for interaction with customers.
  • Works in home office to complete necessary paperwork and documentation.
  • Attends meetings and exhibitions outside of office hours and on weekends as required.

Requirements

  • 2 years’ Medical Device Sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in training others.
  • Experience in communication and interpersonal interactions with key customers.
  • Experience at problem solving.
  • 4 year college degree preferred.
  • Written and verbal knowledge of English and other relevant languages.
  • Knowledge of key products and procedures.
  • General business math.
  • Microsoft Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must lift product sample cases weighing between 20-50 lbs.
