Benner Systems, company of the Globalweb Data Services Corp Group which specializes in healthcare management systems, and ALERT, one of the main multinational companies in the healthcare industry, present in 12 countries and strongly implemented in the Brazilian market, have announced a commercial partnership with the objective of creating a joint venture to offer integrated solutions in the health sector. Operations will start after formal approval by the Board of Directors of the two companies.
This initiative will result in the largest Brazilian IT solutions company for the healthcare sector with an expected turnover of around $150 million USD
in the next three years. The goal is to provide products within a business model that suits public and private hospitals from all ranges by offering access to what is best in innovative technologies.
ALERT Benner is born with a complete portfolio of integrated hospital solutions. These solutions combine the strength of ALERT® products – EHR and clinical management – with the power of Benner’s hospital, administrative and financial management products. Hence, ALERT Benner will offer the most advanced clinical product with the most powerful hospital administrative and operational system.
Company Directors will be Luiz de Marcos Brescia and Lucrecia Oliveira, CEO and Commercial Director, respectively. Benner’s and ALERT Brazil’s professionals, which will work together to integrate new products and services, as well as develop marketing and commercial strategies. The new team focused on the healthcare sector will consist of approximately 400 employees – including more than 250 professionals certified in various types of technology – distributed among offices in São Paulo, Maringá, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, and other state capitals in Brazil.
This partnership is based on the following:
· offer a highly specialized, comprehensive and well established product through a single supplier;
· provide clinical content, with the use of the Manchester protocol, with patient risk information in emergency environments, and incorporating the best practices in the market in all platforms;
· offer viable and distinct business models;
· provide service integration to benefit the patient by providing access to the EHR in real time via Web regardless of the service provider, as well as complete integration with health prevention programs;
· reduce risk in daily tasks performed by healthcare professionals by ensuring the security of data that is automatically entered in EHRs.
The main objective is to provide a major leap in healthcare service quality and in back office process management without significant investment in infrastructure and specialized teams. Solutions will be made available in a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, which will replace the conventional licensing model.
ALERT and Benner’s commit to developing their products and joining efforts in their respective software factories, improving their capacity to offer a powerful and constantly evolving solution (based on the latest technology, 100% Web-based, with touchscreen interface, relational database and operating in a data center or cloud environment).
