The Benner Systems Group company GlobalWeb Data Services Corp., which specializes in healthcare management solutions, and ALERT, an industry leader in multinational medical care with operations in 12 countries and a strong presence in the Brazilian market, announced today the creation of a joint venture for the supply of integrated healthcare solutions. This initiative will create the largest healthcare system solutions company in Brazil with the goal being to achieve sales of 300 million dollars over the next three years. Operations will begin after the boards of both companies have given their approval.
The objective is to supply products within a business model that satisfies the needs of public and private institutions from all over the world, providing access to the best of the world market via innovative technologies.
ALERT and Benner will supply a complete range of integrated solutions which combine the strength of ALERT products – electronic health records and clinical management – with Benner’s energy, hospital management, administrative and financial systems. They will thus be able to offer the most advanced administrative and operational solution in the healthcare sector.
The ALERT and Benner board of directors will be made up of Luiz Marcos Brescia and Lucrécia Oliveira, the executive and commercial directors of their respective companies. The structure will combine professionals from ALERT and Benner Brazil, who worked together to integrate new products and services as well as marketing and commercial activities. The new team will be focused on the healthcare market, with approximately 400 employees including more than 250 who are certified in different technologies – distributed around offices in Sao Paolo, Maringá, Belo Horizonte and other capitals in the country.
The main pillars of the joint venture are:
· The supply of a highly specialized, integrated and consolidated product to the market via a single supplier;
· The viability and diversity of business models;
· The service will be of automatic benefit to patients as they will be able to access their electronic health records in real time via the website, regardless of the health service provider which attended them and, furthermore, healthcare prevention programs will be fully integrated within it;
· The reduction of risk to healthcare professionals with information security measures automatically included in the records.
The idea is to achieve a step up in the quality of healthcare services and back office process management, without major investment in infrastructure and specialized personnel. This is made possible by the fact that the solutions will also be available as software (SaaS) through a service which replaces conventional license-granting models.
ALERT and Benner are both committed to the ongoing development of their products and the merger of their software factories, factors which increase their capacity to offer a powerful solution to the market which is continually being improved (based on advanced, 100% web-based technology; interactive touch screens, and relational data bases provided in a data center or cloud environment). These resources make it possible to add a high level of functionality to hospitals in a mobile environment, providing information and services to healthcare professionals on mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones.
