Looking to find out more about how they lived, researchers in the United Kingdom are analyzing seven 3000 year old Egyptian mummies at the British Museum in London.
They will try to capture the images of the bodies inside the sarcophagi without affecting or damaging the remains or the container.
Project student Abeer Helmi from the University of Manchester stated to the British newspaper The Daily Mail, that magnetic resonance imaging was used for the analysis. The objective is to get further information about the diet and health of people who were mummified sometime around the year 900 BC.
