A launch breakfast for ANDICOM 2012, was attended by the Minister for Information Technology and Communications, Diego Molano Vega and around one hundred other guests including presidents and directors of private and public companies.
A partnership with the El Tiempo publishing house was also announced by the company’s directors with the Vice-Minister for Health, Norman Julio Muñoz, and the Executive Director of CINTEL, Manuel Martínez, also attending.
Thus began the 27th International ITC Congress, to be held on the 5th, 6th, and 7th of September, whose objective is to highlight the importance of Information Technology and Communications to the region’s development.
Molano Vega emphasized the importance of the academic and business program this year; “This year we want ANDICOM to focus on the needs of the public healthcare sector in Colombia and the immense possibilities and solutions the use of ITC can provide to considerably improve the quality and coverage of these services.”
The congress will not only feature all the entries for the Vibe Digital Regional program, presenting them to mayors and governors, but also all the solutions the ITC sector has to offer that can work substantial improvements in different areas of public healthcare.
