From Wednesday 26th to Friday 28th of September, EHealth Reporter Latin America was present at the well-attended event ExpoMedical 2012, one of the largest international healthcare product, equipment and services fair in the region.
The stand, located in Pavilion 02, received visits from all over the world, from Mexico to Germany, passing through Bolivia, Uruguay and France, among others. All visitors received leaflets explaining the role of our news portal in the area of health information technology worldwide with a special focus on Latin America. In turn, all those who left their information will have the opportunity to have our free newsletter with the latest developments in e-health sent directly to their inbox in their preferred language; Spanish, English or Portuguese, every fifteen days.
Those passing by our stand on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons also had the chance to have a photo taken by our professional photographer Natalia Nuñez, who enthusiastically encouraged everyone to pose for a study photo which we will then send directly to all those who participated as a special gift from EHealth Reporter Latin America. The photos will also be uploaded to our Facebook account and will appear on our website.
At ExpoMedical we were able to meet a large number of attendees who were interested in our portal and surprised to find out that we focus on an aspect of healthcare that has received little attention to date: e-health, a very new field for the healthcare area in general, which, more than anything, needs an informed public and continuous explanations about how we can continue developing and promoting the use of ITCs in healthcare, a path medicine is sure to continue down in the future.
