The merger between Pixeon (of Santa Catarina) and Medical Systems (of Sao Paulo) which took place in September last year, has started to have an effect on the Brazilian market for Health Sector IT solutions.
The company created by the merger, Pixeon Medical Systems (PMS), has bought the customer portfolio of Vepro Brazil, representative of a German multinational in the sector.
With good results mainly located in the southeast, Vepro had around 34 customer bases for its Picture Archive and Communication Systems installed in clinics and hospitals across different states.
Now, PMS has over 250 bases installed in the country. “With the acquisition of the Vepro Brazil customer portfolio, we now have more space in States such as Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo. This is a strategic move with a focus on expanding our market,” said Robert Cruz, Director General of the company.
According to the agreement, PMS takes on the technical support and maintenance of the systems installed. A team of Vepro Customer Service professionals was hired to ensure a fluid and efficient transition.
Furthermore, PMS aims to offer the customers the possibility of migrating to their Aurora PACS system, which is an attractive array of unlimited licenses for the Arya viewer.
The medical imaging management system has a thin client architecture for the reconstruction that takes place during the pre-processing of images directly to the server, thus reducing costs, and increasing productivity and the quality of the diagnosis.
Made up of different modules, the system ensures high-performance and high quality in medical diagnoses through digital imaging. It also offers components that operate using capture rehearsal, storage and test manipulation to interpret, administer, share and compare reports and reconstruct images in two and three dimensions.
