One of the strategies that has had the greatest impact on the Chilean healthcare sector is the Information System of the Care Network (SIDRA), implemented by the Ministry of Health to improve overall care for public service users through the use of digital technology.

The incorporation of the Electronic Health Record, for example, has allowed for improvements in patient care, cost reduction, rationalization of resources and more efficient spending for both administrators and officials in the sector and patients.
For its part, the implementation of the Single Health Record has led to the reduction of certain risks, such as adverse reactions to medications, improvement in clinical information for decision making and the end of duplicated prescriptions and tests.
