The third version of ExpoHospital 2013, the International Exhibit of technology, products and services for hospitals and clinics, featured a teeming audience of health professionals and decision makers—medical directors and assistant directors, department heads at clinics, diagnostic centers and hospitals, and other management-level executives—who learned about the latest trends in national and international markets.
Close to 150 exhibitors were on display, and this year featured the presence of delegations from Germany, Belgium, the United States and Brazil, all of whom enriched the show with cutting-edge technology presented in Chile for the first time.
In addition to medical equipment, hospital information technology such as automation systems captured the attention of health professionals, offering revolutionary opportunities for greater efficiency and better use of healthcare resources. Telemedicine was another main attraction, as were imaging software and a platform for the remote management of chronic patients that would provide for a more efficient relationship between healthcare facilities and patients.
EISACH 2013
Fisa and its academic partner, the Public Health Institute at the Andres Bello University, organized and conducted the third International Health Congress in Chile (Encuentro Internacional de Salud en Chile, EISACH), where ministry officials and prominent national and international academic speakers analyzed and discussed some of the most important issues in healthcare. Presidents of the doctors, nursing, and dental surgeon unions also played an important role—attracting a large audience of public and private healthcare professionals.
With the first Interoperability Training Day, certified by the University of Valparaiso, the Hospital Expo opened a new series designed to update knowledge and strengthen practices in different fields of healthcare specialties through courses that will be taught by academic experts and board members from leading institutions and health organizations.
