The Alvorada Hospital of Sao Paulo has received international certification awarded by the Joint Commission International (JCI), one of the most important healthcare certification services in the world.
The healthcare center thus joins other institutions in Brazil such as the Paulistano and TotalCor, which have already received international certificates.
The certification guarantees patient safety and the quality of care using a set of universal norms, protocols, indicators and procedures that must be fulfilled during medical care.
To obtain the certification, every institution must pass a rigorous external evaluation process to fulfill international practices, from the moment patients enter the establishment until they leave.
Three years ago, the Alvorada Hospital created a specific project in order to fulfill the objectives needed to achieve certification. “We are very proud and happy with this certification, which shows the quality and efficiency of the service we provide. It confirms that we are prepared to offer a unique and distinctive service,” said the Hospital Director Fernando José Pedro.
