HIMSS is pleased to announce that 12 scholarships will be made in 2014 to student members studying in a program related to health IT. Applications will be accepted through Oct. 15. Each winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship and an expense-paid trip to HIMSS14 in Orlando.
Seven HIMSS Chapters have sponsored scholarships this year to support the academic aspirations of their members. The New England, South Florida, Central and Northern Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and North California chapters will each be offering one scholarship, while the New York Chapter will provide two scholarships.The HIMSS foundation will award four scholarships.
Scholarship applicants must be Members of HIMSS National and of their regional chapter, as appropriate. Undergraduate applicants should be junior level or above. Graduate and PhD candidates are encouraged to apply as well.
Scholarship winners will be honored at the Awards Banquet on Feb. 25 at HIMSS14.
