The Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital has presented and set up hospital administration software that includes two products: electronic health records and digital medical prescriptions.
According to Doctor Zarela Solís Vásquez, the General Director of the Hospital, the software was designed in accordance with international standards for the diagnosis of disease and medical procedures.
The development of the program, the doctor explained, was led by a team from the IT Unit at the establishment who worked on the health record and electronic medical prescriptions and also on subsequent processes such as medical appointments, certification, test results, charges, and tariffs, among others.
Solís also explained that the implementation of the Integrated Hospital Management System would be carried out systematically in two stages: one for care, which is already underway, and the other for administration.
“This modern system can be accessed progressively from any electronic device including computers, tablets and smartphones”, the doctor said.
Furthermore, she also revealed that the institution she directs will donate the software to two other healthcare establishments, the Dos de Mayo National Hospital and the Víctor Ramos Guardia Hospital in Huaraz.
