The Ministry of Health of Mendoza, Argentina, is to implement a Care Administration System (SGA) that will integrate all the clinical units of the Province. In addition, it will allow the exchange of information between healthcare staff.
The program, which is financed with an $18 million loan from the Interamerican Development Bank, has the objective of fortifying provincial and municipal administration via three activities:
1. The development and implementation of a master system of health network users in the province.
2. The delivery of hardware to all the different centers.
3. Comprehensive training in the operation and use of systems.
Once the SGA is fully developed, it will be able to make appointments, arrange transfers between healthcare units and offer a single Electronic Health Record across the province.
