The project consists of the implementation of information technology solutions which will integrate clinical, administrative and hospital management in order to efficiently coordinate the activities of the different departments of the Institution, recording both administrative and operational functions at the centers as well as those of individual clinical departments, with the information being made available in an integrated and centralized manner in an online clinical file for each patient and their dependents for both primary and specialized care.
The four hospitals, eleven clinics and six health centers run by the Institute of Social Security in Honduras, with over 200 practices, will have a single, centralized system that will make use of iSOFT’s solutions for Specialized Care (x-HIS) and Primary Care (e-SIAP). It will also provide the ability to interact with Vademécum International and a Healthcare Control Panel run with QlikView. Furthermore, the project will include integration with the Governmental Resource Planning System (GRP) run by SAP and provide a biometric personal authorization system to guarantee maximum security of information for those insured by the body.
