TecMédica. A service solutions provider with twelve years’ experience in the market, presented its comprehensive clinical application featuring administrative functions, which makes it possible to manage patients’ health and also facilitates better provision of medical services for them, their family members and the people involved in their care, reducing costs and improving accessibility to services. At the company stand, the technician Dardo Otazua, and Germán Muñoz, the general manager, explained how the 3 prototypes currently under development work: a medication dispenser integrated with the patient’s electronic health record, a pharmacy manager with stock control linked to the area where the medications are stored, and a self-care module for patients which can deliver examination results, manage appointments and provide information about medical prescriptions, also providing access to the electronic health record and certificates emitted by the civil registry or the electoral service.
Saydex: In its twentieth year of offering IT solutions, the Chilean company presented its proven healthcare sector products at its stand. Jorge Fernández, area manager for IT projects, said that the company has 75% of the market in the country through the Ministry of Health’s Sidra network, Rayen; a Saydex solution. At their stand they exhibited all their latest developments in clinical and administrative support for healthcare establishments in Chile, announcing that a month ago the company won the tender for the implementation of HIS solutions at the Hospital Maipú; a concession (public-private) project, whose opening is scheduled for 2013.
Kopland: Juan Carlos Sepúlveda, Sales Manager at the Chilean IT and services company, explained that the value of the solutions they offer is that, as they are modular systems, their online clinical file Infocare can be adapted not only to the needs of institutions but also those of doctors at their individual surgeries according to their budgets for investment in the area.
Medipass: Juan Carlos Riveros, head of sales, and Isabel Medina, an account executive, presented their Medipass electronic medical leave, which provides companies with immediate electronic notification of their workers’ absences once the doctor has entered medical leave into the system; this system is free to the company and saves time and the costs of filling out and delivering forms. The product also provides access to the computerized history of medical leave granted to its workers, so that it can be better monitored for administration statistics and reports. The system, accredited by the Chilean Economics Ministry is an initiative by the Cajas de Compenasación – private non-profit entities who administer social security payments on behalf of the Chilean state – in association with E-Sign.
