Generales

Incubando Salud has presented the 10 projects selected as part of its first Entrepreneurnial Healthcare Awards.

Incubando Salud is an initiative run by the Fundación Barceló’s Technology Networking Unit, which was set up a year ago to build ties with the entrepreneurial sector in healthcare.

In 2011 it issued its first call for entries to all those people or organizations in the healthcare sector who are interested in developing innovative projects that could improve people’s quality of life. These might include: university students, professors, researchers, healthcare professionals and the community in general.

On the 8th of May, during an exciting ceremony, the 10 projects which were selected for the pre-incubation stage due to their viability and scientific or commercial interest were presented.

The pre-incubation stage will see the chosen project teams provided with assistance from a group of coaches, coordinated by the engineer Gustavo Cettolo and Doctor Agustín Cohen from the CEMA University Entrepreneurs Group, which has supported the Incubando Salud initiative from the beginning.

Furthermore, each team will be supported by technical assistants specialized in their project area. They will be in charge of facilitating communication between healthcare professionals and coaches, who are more closely linked to the business world.

The ten projects selected are linked to different areas in healthcare:
