Conceived of as a space for the spread and exchange of information, experience and perspectives in the field of Healthcare Technology, this forum represents a unique opportunity to get up to date with and understand how Healthcare Technologies can help to develop efficient, people-focused healthcare systems. In its eighth edition, to be held at the Fiesta Americana Reforma Hotel, from the 6th to the 8th of November 2012, in Mexico City, the event will focus on the Impact of Healthcare Technologies on the Quality of Care.
The Digital Hospital and Telemedicine. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour technological and themed exhibitions to find out about new and innovative hospital technologies available in Mexico. On this occasion, the focus of the exhibition will be: “From Cure to Prevention”, which will take the visitor on a technological journey that includes equipment for clinical analysis, diagnostic ultrasounds, mastography, tomography, and angiography, amongst other imaging technologies, showing how this equipment can interact with specialized computer systems. This year, the technological exhibition will also have an operating theater featuring the latest technology in terms of furniture, surgical equipment, monitoring systems and Telemedicine.
Conferences. The academic program, organized under the banner “The Impact of Healthcare Technology on Quality of Care”, will offer a series of Masterclasses given by prestigious national and international speakers who are experts in different fields of Healthcare Technologies. Approaching strategic aspects that will give visitors an overall vision of the subject, the speakers at the Masterclasses will talk about “Public Policy on Healthcare Technology”, “Evidence-based Healthcare”, “Developing a National e-health Strategy” and “The Importance of Medical Equipment in the Quality and Safety of Care”, amongst other major subjects. Furthermore, visitors will be able to hear contributions from recognized specialists during different Meetings and Roundtables which will address relevant subjects related to the everyday work of the doctors, nurses, biomedical engineers and IT technicians, among other professions, who use these Healthcare Technologies in their fields.
