With the aim of providing computer technology for every Public Healthcare facility, the Committee’s strategy will be to facilitate improved access to healthcare services through the use of IT and Communications technologies.
The Minister of Health of the Dominican Republic, Dr. Lorenzo Wilfredo Hidalgo, stated that the committee will foster the sustainable development of the National Healthcare System in the country.
ITCs are implemented to create better informed and more equitable, competitive and democratic societies. The Panamerican Health Organization thus places an emphasis on strengthening and promoting the sustainable development of the healthcare systems in its member states.
