With the objective of providing a professional framework for the exchange of knowledge about the latest technological advances and technical developments related to Health IT, INFORSALUD 2013 will analyze the perspectives and plans for the future with regard to “ICTs in times of crisis”.
This year, the 16th National Health IT Congress will focus on the following issues: Innovation for Sustainability, Social Innovations in Healthcare, Patients’ and Professionals’ Access to Information, A New Business/Service Provider Model, Transitional Innovation and Research, Interoperability, Innovation in Care Processes, The Role of ICTs in improving efficiency and quality, the Role of ICTs in Planning and Management Control, Data Analysis and Knowledge Generation, and Mobility.
The is aimed at managers of healthcare centers, IT directors, IT and telecommunications specialists, doctors, pharmacists, biologists, nursing staff, bio-informaticians and researchers. It will also feature guest speakers representing the institutional level of the Spanish national healthcare system.
Thematic Areas
The new edition of the forum organized by the SEIS will be held together with INFORMED 2013, INFORENF 2013 and INFORFARMA 2013, conceived as events running in parallel which will address different thematic areas:

1. Regulations, integration and semantic interoperability.
2. Technological innovation aimed at reducing risk and increasing the safety of the patient.
3. ICTs in continuous healthcare administration.
INFORFARMA
1. Interoperability in medication information systems
2. Sustainability in the National Health System
3. Correct and incorrect uses of Information Technologies in the medication area
INFORENF
1. Tele-nursing
2. New technologies in patient safety
3. Models of care for chronic patients
4. Education in healthcare
5. Tablets and Ipads in nursing work
6. Mobile technology for nurses in isolated areas
7. ICTs in nursing studies
8. Care evaluation systems using ICTs
