Telemedicina

 

Scotland is known in Europe as a visionary country of the integration of telemedicine. Knowing that innovation is a continuous process, the Scottish government developed a national plan to implement these technologies on 2015.

The objective of the long-term plan is to reach an increase of population’s well-being by 2020.

Scottish´s national plan of telemedicine implementation

This plan defines the importance of telemedicine and E-Health inclusion on key strategies to improve healthcare, for the 2012-2015 period.

The original document was developed by 6 main topics:

Improve healthcare. 

Encourage well-being. 

Improve patient´s role in their healthcare. 

Reducethe cost of healthcare services. 

Support economics improvement.

Share experiences and develop new ideas.
