Start-up accelerator to finance three start-up projects related to eHealth with up to 100 thousand euros.

Generales

The Higher Institute of Internet Development (ISDI), Boungiorno, Teknologiudvikling ApS, Seaya Ventures, and a network of entrepreneurs and leading professionals in the European digital ecosystem have created IMPACT (Internet Mobile Projects Accelerator), a start-up accelerator that will allocate 6.4 million euros to European business projects related to the mobile internet.

The initiative, which is sponsored by the European Union FI-PPP (Future Internet Public-Private-Partnership) program, seeks to subsidize and accelerate enterprises capable of making a global impact. It will offer financing and intensive mentoring and training for twenty start-ups selected during the first competition.

The IMPACT operation will take place at the Headquarters of B-Ventures in Parma and the ISDI’s Digital Acceleration Centers in Madrid and Barcelona.

The winning projects were recently announced and include three initiatives related to eHealth:

1. Psious, a mobile tool that uses virtual hyperrealist environments to treat anxiety disorders. It is designed to complement treatment and makes it possible to personalize simulation parameters in accordance with the patient’s needs.

2. 8Fit, a fitness application that is already available for free at iOs and Android stores. It includes personalized training programs and diet plans and monitors users’ progress.

3. Healthia, a platform that seeks to change private healthcare into a transparent, accessible and patient-focused model. The objective is for users to be able to choose their doctors – from among 10,000 professionals – and to pay for only what they need. In fact, it offers plans that cost just 3 euros a month.

Each start-up will receive up to 100 thousand euros without having to give up their equity and go through a six month mentoring process that will help them meet pre-established goals.
