Leading New York city facility to use the DX-G to improve workflow – Minimal staff training required, improved workflow efficiencies and easy installation – MUSICA2 to deliver exceptional image quality

Agfa HealthCare announces today that Beth Israel Medical Center, located in New York, New York, has chosen its DX-G computed radiography (CR) solution to improve workflow and deliver exceptional image quality.

DX-G meets all criteria

The DX-G uses a five-cassette drop-and-go buffer, that results in a fast image preview, reduction in patient waiting times, more continuous workflow, and higher productivity through automatic cassette handling.

A compact system, the DX-G can be used in multiple ways to best meet a facility’s needs. It can be positioned as a central digitizer within a radiology department, providing support for multiple exam rooms, or with its small work area footprint can also be positioned within an x-ray room, narrow corridor or other small space. The design supports departments that have limited floor space or storage facilities.

 Image quality

Contributing to the exceptional image quality of the DX-G is MUSICA2, Agfa HealthCare’s gold standard in image processing software, which makes use of the company’s established NX platform for a smooth workflow. MUSICA2 automatically analyzes the characteristics of each image and optimizes processing parameters – independent of user input and dose settings. MUSICA2 is unaffected by the presence of collimation or direct X-ray backgrounds in the image, leading to consistent, high-quality results. The software can also improve the overall visibility of clinically relevant structures, making especially low contrast details more easily perceptible.
