HL7 Argentina and HL7 International have presented their 2012 grant program for their virtual course in Spanish; Introduction to HL7 Standards (HL7 ELC). HL7 ELC is an internet based self-study course, supervised by tutors, in healthcare information technology and HL7 standards.
The objective of the ELC is to create a cost-effective way of offering opportunities to professionals in healthcare information technology overall and to learn about HL7 standards for use in the systems they implement.
Aimed at expanding awareness of and encouraging global use and adoption of these standards, especially in countries where HL7 has a minimal or non-existent presence, the grant program started in March 2010 for the English version.
Preference will be given to people applying from countries which do not have an HL7 affiliate.
There are opportunities for individuals or companies who wish the sponsor the grants.
Inscription closes on the 9th of March 2012 (English version) and the 9th April (Spanish version)
